The Everett Police Department arrested four individuals, one adult and three juveniles, in connection to gang-related graffiti vandalism incidents. Investigations, initiated in March 2025, highlighted a concerning link between graffiti and firearms, with three loaded pistols and a stolen firearm discovered in suspect vehicles. Mayor Cassie Franklin underscored the urgency of addressing youth involvement in gangs, warning that they are often only one conflict away from tragedy. The police employed the Flock Safety System to identify suspect vehicles associated with multiple incidents of graffiti. Arrested individuals face charges that include unlawful possession of a firearm and possession of graffiti implements.

The investigations are ongoing, with law enforcement focusing on preventing further gang-related activities. Data shows that gang-related graffiti is directly tied to violent acts, prompting police efforts to combat this issue. Community safety remains a priority, and officials are committed to finding upstream solutions to reduce gang violence.
