USPS Postal Worker Shot By Another Package Delivery Worker in Everett

Everett, WALocal News

A USPS postal worker suffered a gunshot wound to the eye during a confrontation with an Amazon delivery driver at the West Mall Place Apartments in Everett on October 2nd. The argument reportedly escalated over access to mailboxes, leading to physical violence. The victim was transported to Providence Hospital, while the suspect remained on the scene and claimed self-defense before being taken into custody. The incident has drawn attention from federal authorities, including the FBI and postal inspector, due to the victim's federal employment status. This shooting marks the second odd package delivery-related incident in two months, following a DoorDash driver reportedly setting his vehicle ablaze.

Local officials have assured the community that there is no ongoing threat. The apartments are located near the Everett Mall Plaza, a busy area of South Everett. This event raises concerns about tensions among delivery workers in the area.
