South Everett Grocery Store Robbed by Fake HVAC Technician

On May 5th, 2025, police in Everett arrested a 35-year-old male suspected of armed robbery at a South Everett grocery store. The robbery took place on May 4th when the suspect, impersonating an HVAC technician, brandished a weapon and demanded cash from employees. Surveillance cameras recorded his escape, leading police to identify the vehicle used through Flock Safety's license plate reader system. The suspect, known to authorities for prior incidents involving the same vehicle, was located and arrested without incident at around 9:30 PM. He faces charges of first-degree robbery and possession of a controlled substance without a prescription.

No injuries occurred during the robbery, and the amount of cash taken remains undisclosed. As of now, law enforcement has not recovered any substantial stolen funds. This incident underscores ongoing concerns regarding safety in local businesses.
