Partys Over Party City Closing All Stores, Including the Everett Mall Location

Everett, WALocal News

Party City, a prominent party supply retailer, is set to close all its locations, including the Everett Mall store, by February 28, 2025, due to ongoing financial struggles and a recent Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing. The closure will leave a significant gap in the local market for party goods, affecting many customers who relied on the store for celebrations. Founded in 1986, Party City operated 748 stores across North America, employing over 16,000 individuals. In a bittersweet turn of events, Looking Glass Coffee will also shut down after seven successful years, with Snohomish Coffee Company taking over the location. The owners of Looking Glass Coffee have decided to focus on family and health, expressing their heartfelt appreciation to the community that supported them throughout the years.

This transition means some of the Looking Glass staff will remain, ensuring continuity of service and community spirit. Snohomish Coffee Company, which previously faced challenges operating a coffee cart, is now positioned to flourish in this new space. The community can look forward to enjoying their small-batch brews while cherishing the memories created at Looking Glass Coffee.
