Water Main Y Replacement Project

Everett, WALocal News

The Water Main Y Replacement Project emerges as a crucial infrastructure upgrade aimed at replacing old and problematic water mains that have a history of breaks. By executing this project, the city seeks to provide reliable water service to residents while simultaneously lowering maintenance costs associated with aging infrastructure. The project is organized into two phases, with Phase 1 targeting locations such as Madrona Avenue and Evergreen Way, slated for construction in late spring 2024. Phase 2 will focus on the I-5 bridge area, with design work commencing in spring/summer 2024 and construction expected to start in late 2024. Restoration efforts will include pavement patching and the replacement of sidewalks and curbs affected by the installation of new water mains.

The improvements not only aim to enhance service reliability but also significantly bolster fire-fighting capabilities in the community.
