Another Graffiti Art Event Coming To Everett This Week

Everett, WALocal News

Going All City Northwest Part 2 will occur at Scuttlebutt Brewing in Everett from September 22-25, showcasing both local and visiting graffiti artists. This event follows the controversial erasure of a mural called “The Lost Samurai,” which was rejected by the building owner. Scuttlebutt Brewing stepped in, offering a prominent wall for the artists to create a new mural. The weekend will include a pin striping class with Spawk on Thursday evening, as well as live painting sessions and food trucks throughout the event. Limited edition prints of “The Lost Samurai,” signed by the artists, will be available for purchase to help cover the costs of bringing the crew back from Arizona.

The event aims to redefine graffiti art as a legitimate form of expression rather than a nuisance, as emphasized by Scuttlebutt's Taproom Manager Patrick Kolb. Community members are invited to participate in a group painting project, making it a family-friendly event. Local creatives hope to celebrate and elevate the graffiti art scene through this collaborative effort.
