Water main break at McDougall and Pacific Avenues

Public Works crews are addressing a water main break at McDougall and Pacific Avenues that occurred around noon today. The break has been contained, but some customers are experiencing reduced water pressure as a result. Crews are on-site managing the water flow while excavation efforts to locate the break are underway. Repair work could extend into the evening. The affected pipe, a 12-inch diameter cast iron pipe, was installed in 1956, highlighting the aging infrastructure in the area.
