DUI Investigation Leads to Fatality Collision

Early Saturday morning, the Washington State Patrol initiated a DUI investigation in South Everett when a vehicle fled from officers. The pursuit ended in a crash into a building on Rucker Avenue around 2:30 a. m. Two adult males occupied the vehicle; one was pronounced dead at the scene, and the other was hospitalized with injuries. Rucker Avenue remained closed in both directions from 43rd to 47th for several hours as detectives from the Traffic Safety Unit conducted their investigation.

The incident underscores the dangers of driving under the influence and the potential consequences of such actions.
