4 More Automated Traffic Safety Cameras Go Up in Everett

Everett, WALocal News

On June 30, Everett will activate four automated traffic safety cameras to combat red light violations at high-risk intersections. The new locations include Northbound Evergreen Way at Casino Road and Southwest-bound Everett Mall Way at 7th Avenue SE. Each citation will cost $124, and any surplus revenue will be directed toward road safety improvements. The city based its decisions on an analysis of crash data, identifying intersections and school zones with the highest frequency of violations. The initiative aims to enhance overall traffic and pedestrian safety.

These cameras represent the final phase of the city's photo enforcement program. The cost of maintaining the cameras is self-sustaining, as an officer will review the citations. For further details, residents can visit the city’s website on automated traffic safety cameras.
