Learn more about your rights as a manufacturedmobile home owner, manager at Oct. 8 event
The Office of the Attorney General and the King County Library System will host an information session on Oct. 8 for manufactured/mobile home owners and managers. The session will run from 6 to 7:30 p. m. at the Kenmore Library and online, with registration required for online attendance.
Participants will learn about their rights under the Manufactured Housing Dispute Resolution Program, which aims to address disputes between tenants and landlords. This event comes in light of a new state law capping rent increases, which has provided some relief to tenants in mobile home parks. Those unable to attend the session can access information about the program online or by calling 1-866-924-6458. A prior forum attracted about 200 residents who voiced concerns regarding rising rents and property management practices. The information session is crucial for educating both tenants and landlords on their rights and responsibilities.
Understanding these rights can help foster better relationships and resolve disputes effectively.
