The Edmonds Food Bank's Empty Bowl fundraiser raised a record $242,000, exceeding its $200,000 goal and reflecting the community's dedication to food security. The event, held at the Edmonds Yacht Club, sold out quickly, showcasing local support for the food bank's mission. Attendees enjoyed a meal prepared by local caterers and participated in various fundraising activities, including a wine toss and raffle. Executive Director Casey Davis emphasized that a thriving community cannot exist without ensuring every neighbor is fed. The food bank has set a stretch goal of $250,000 to enhance its food distribution and operational capabilities for the upcoming year.

Each participant received a handcrafted bowl, symbolizing the collective effort to fill every bowl in Edmonds. Serving nearly 1,200 households each week, the food bank plays a crucial role in addressing food insecurity in the region. This record-breaking event highlights the community's commitment to providing dignified access to nutritious food.
