The 17th Annual Monster Mad Dash 5K Run and Walk will take place on October 4 at Lake Ballinger, fostering community spirit among Edmonds School District families. Participants can form teams to raise funds for their schools, with those having 20 or more members receiving a portion of the net proceeds. The event features a Kids Zone, outdoor games, and food from local vendors like Who Let the Dawgs Out and Hugs and Mini Donuts. "It allows friends, family, and fans of public education to direct funds to specific schools," stated Andi Nofziger-Meadows, president of the Edmonds Education Association. This fundraiser supports essential academic programs and initiatives aimed at student health and wellness throughout the year.

The Foundation for Edmonds School District plays a critical role in providing classroom grants and college readiness programs.
