On Saturday, around 200 people gathered at the Lynnwood Library to celebrate the Day of the Dead. Sponsored by the WAGRO Foundation and local institutions, the free event showcased art, music, food, and cultural workshops for attendees of all ages. A highlight was the Community Altar, where guests contributed photos and mementos, reflecting the tradition's focus on remembrance and connection. This celebration is rooted in Mexican culture, where honoring deceased loved ones is a vital aspect of the tradition. By facilitating this event, local organizations aimed to foster community ties and promote cultural understanding.

The collaboration included the Lynnwood Library, City of Lynnwood, and Verdant Health Commission, among others. Attendance figures indicate a strong community interest in cultural events. Such gatherings not only celebrate heritage but also educate the public about significant traditions.
