Pair of Ferndale businesses announce closures

Bellingham, WALocal News

Outlaws Saloon, a staple in Ferndale for over 14 years, plans to close its doors soon, with no official date announced. Owner Jamie Ford encouraged patrons to visit for one last experience and to help reduce inventory. A short distance away, Cozy Corner Books in Griffintown will close this Saturday after running clearance sales since late August. The bookstore is offering deep discounts, with books priced between a quarter and a dollar, as well as marked-down furniture and decor. The owners decided to retire, coinciding with the end of their lease extension.

Such business closures highlight ongoing challenges for local establishments in the area. These changes may affect the community's economic landscape and the availability of local services. Both businesses have encouraged loyal customers to support them during their final days of operation.
