Kent Police arrest 2 Auburn suspects in 2024 Campus Park homicide

Kent Police arrested two Auburn suspects in connection with the 2024 shooting death of a Kent-Meridian High School student at Campus Park. The victim, found on June 3, 2024, suffered a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene. Witnesses heard gunfire and reported vehicles fleeing the area immediately after the incident. Following extensive investigations, detectives identified the suspects, leading to their arrests more than a year later. The juvenile male was apprehended on June 6, 2025, on an unrelated charge, while the adult male was taken into custody on June 9, 2025.

Both suspects face charges of First Degree Murder and First Degree Robbery. The names of the suspects have not been released due to the juvenile's age and the ongoing investigation. This case highlights the ongoing issue of youth violence in the community.
