VIDEO Auburn Police stop Metro bus, arrest 6 teen robbery suspects

On May 26, 2025, Auburn Police arrested six juveniles involved in a robbery and attempted vehicle prowl in the Lea Hill neighborhood. Officers were dispatched to an apartment complex after a report of masked suspects trying to break into a parked vehicle. During the investigation, a sergeant witnessed three juveniles assaulting a man at a bus stop and stealing his belongings before escaping on a Metro bus. The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries, and police successfully recovered all stolen property. Officers executed a high-risk stop on the bus, detaining the six suspects, three of whom faced charges for first-degree robbery.

Additionally, one female suspect was booked on an unrelated felony warrant, while others were released to a parent. Several suspects had prior criminal histories, and charges are pending as the investigation continues. The department commended the quick and coordinated response of their officers in addressing the criminal activity.
