The City of Auburn is actively seeking artists and artist teams from Washington and Oregon to create an integrated public artwork for the upcoming Downtown Park, which serves as a centerpiece for the city’s Creative District. The total project budget, which includes design, fabrication, installation, travel, and taxes, is set at $97,500. Artists must submit their applications online by June 10, 2025, and finalists will be notified shortly after on June 13. This public art project aims to reflect Auburn’s identity while enhancing the visitor experience at the 10,500-square-foot park, located on East Main Street, adjacent to the Postmark Center for the Arts and the planned Auburn Theater. The city emphasizes a community-centered design approach that fosters creativity and connection among residents.

By involving local artists, Auburn aims to shape the cultural landscape of the new Downtown Park.
