On May 12, firefighters responded to an adult female with chest pain, who was later transported to a local hospital. The next day, they assisted an elderly female at an adult family home with shortness of breath, leading to her transport to Valley Medical Center. A notable call on May 17 involved two adult males suspected of opioid overdoses; one required CPR, which was successfully administered by VRFA personnel before he was taken to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center. Firefighters also responded to a cooking accident involving an adult female who sustained burns.

The week ended with VRFA managing downed wires caused by a fallen tree, ensuring road safety until utility workers arrived. These incidents underscore the importance of emergency services in addressing health crises and safety hazards within the community. The VRFA continues to play a critical role in responding to public health emergencies and maintaining safety in the region.

A 26-year-old man from Auburn was arrested following a high-speed chase that spanned Kent and SeaTac. The pursuit ended with a PIT maneuver and spike strips after the suspect's vehicle was linked to an earlier incident involving a gun. Police later discovered a homemade pipe bomb in the car.
