Nordic Fest returns to Auburn this Saturday, May 10 with Scandinavian culture, music more

The Auburn Sons of Norway Vesterdalen Lodge will host its annual Nordic Fest on May 10, 2025, from 10 a. m. to 3 p. m. at Messiah Lutheran Church.

This family-friendly event celebrates Scandinavian heritage with live traditional music, craft vendors, and a popular bake sale featuring Nordic treats such as lefse and krumkake. Admission costs $3, and children under 10 can enter for free. A 50% discount on new Sons of Norway memberships will be available during the event. Vernene Scheurer, a past president of the lodge, highlighted the festival's role in promoting Nordic culture and fostering community connections. Musical performances will occur at 11 a.

m. and 1 p. m. , alongside a silent auction and hourly prize drawings. Vendors include Heritage Quest Research Library and artist Roxanne Grinstad, known for her handmade troll-themed gift wrap.

This event presents an opportunity for attendees to learn about Scandinavian culture and shop for Mother's Day gifts.
