Marshallese culture celebration coming to Auburn on Saturday, May 10

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints’ Marshallese Ward in Auburn will host a free celebration of Marshallese culture on May 10, starting at 5 p. m. This family-friendly event will occur at 1820 F Street NE and will include traditional food, music, and dancing. It aims to provide an authentic experience of the Marshall Islands while promoting community connection and understanding. Organizers emphasize the importance of participation from individuals of all ages and backgrounds.

“Come celebrate and experience the spirit, traditions, and joy of the Marshall Islands! ” they said. The event underscores the vibrant contributions of the Marshallese community to South King County. Since its inception in 2007, South King Media has supported local nonprofits by offering promotional services. This celebration not only showcases cultural heritage but also fosters inclusivity within the broader community.
