Police arrest suspected street racer who boasted of his exploits on YouTube

Kent Police, alongside the Regional Illegal Street Racing Task Force, arrested Nathan Karhu, a 26-year-old from Maple Valley, on July 20, 2023, for reckless endangerment and other charges stemming from dangerous street racing activities. The police reported that Karhu faces three counts of reckless endangerment and charges for reckless driving, unlawful race attendance, and public disturbance. His reckless behavior was brought to light through public tips and videos posted on YouTube, showcasing stunts that endangered the motoring public. Police emphasized the importance of community vigilance in reporting such activities to ensure safety. The task force warned that they will pursue criminal charges against those who jeopardize public safety for entertainment.
