Otto Bossert, who passed away on February 20, 2025, at the age of 94, is remembered as a beloved husband and adventurous world traveler. Born in Hoffnungstal, Bessarabia, Romania, he and his family faced displacement during World War II, ultimately relocating to Germany. In Germany, Otto trained as a machinist, which paved the way for his migration to Canada and later to the USA, alongside his wife, Luise, whom he married after meeting at a New Year’s dance. Their life together was filled with joy as they traveled, enjoyed horse racing, and participated in dance clubs, leaving an indelible mark on the communities they were part of. Otto's legacy of love and kindness will continue to resonate with his surviving wife, Luise, and numerous nieces and nephews.

His family invites those wishing to honor his memory to attend a celebration of life on March 16, 2025, and suggests donations to the Auburn YMCA in lieu of flowers. Otto's zest for life and his caring nature will be deeply missed by all who knew him. This obituary not only highlights his personal achievements but also serves as a reminder of the impact one individual can have on their community.
