From February 24 to March 2, 2025, the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) responded to a series of emergency calls that showcased their commitment to community safety in Auburn and Pacific. A particularly critical incident involved the resuscitation of an adult female who was found pulseless and not breathing at home; firefighters successfully restored her pulse after 20 minutes of CPR, demonstrating their training and dedication. Another significant call involved an unresponsive adult male in a vehicle, where bystanders initiated CPR before VRFA arrived to stabilize him for transport to a local hospital. The week also saw a teenage female suffering a leg injury from a motor vehicle collision, as well as a smoke alarm activation at an elementary school, which was traced to an overheating kiln that firefighters managed efficiently. Furthermore, VRFA responded to a truck incident where downed power lines created a hazardous situation, requiring traffic control and police involvement.

A brush fire along the highway was quickly contained by VRFA crews, showcasing their preparedness for wildfire risks. These incidents highlight the essential services provided by local firefighters and paramedics, ensuring the safety and well-being of the community. Their quick and effective responses not only saved lives but also maintained public safety in various challenging scenarios.
