Auburn, WALocal News

This weekend, the Auburn Area Connect Chamber of Commerce is hosting the “Coffee for a Cause” fundraiser, providing a unique opportunity for residents to support local nonprofits while enjoying their favorite coffee. The four-day event will take place across various Auburn coffee shops, with 50 cents from each drink sold going to three local organizations, including the Auburn Food Bank. Debbie Christian, the executive director of the Auburn Food Bank, highlighted how such small actions can significantly impact the community by aiding families in need. The fundraiser features an interactive challenge via the Eventzee app, where participants can engage in trivia and photo challenges to earn points and compete for prizes, limited to the first 500 sign-ups using event code “COFFEE. ” For those who prefer a more straightforward approach, simply purchasing coffee and indicating support for the initiative will also contribute to the funding.

The Auburn Food Bank plays a vital role in the community by providing food assistance, job training, and financial support for those facing hardships. The event encourages community participation and highlights the importance of local businesses in addressing social issues. For more details, interested individuals can visit the Auburn Food Bank's website or follow them on social media.
