Officer Cox arrived promptly and took over lifesaving efforts from an individual performing chest compressions. He administered an additional dose of Narcan and continued CPR, ultimately detecting a pulse. His quick thinking and calm demeanor were crucial in stabilizing the patient until Valley Regional Fire Authority personnel arrived.

The fire crews confirmed that the man had regained consciousness and would likely have died without Officer Cox's intervention. Police Chief Mark Caillier praised Officer Cox for his professionalism and competence, highlighting the importance of training in emergency situations.
