Auburn Police arrest suspects, seize large cache of drugs and weapons

Auburn Police arrested two suspects linked to a stolen vehicle on July 14, 2024, while patrolling the 200 block of 37th Street SE. Officer Korey Williams and his team discovered a firearm inside the vehicle, prompting its impoundment for further investigation. Detective Derek Morse obtained a search warrant, revealing a significant haul: seven firearms and various illegal drugs, including 400 fentanyl pills and over 150 grams of methamphetamine. The primary suspect, already on federal probation for previous drug and weapon offenses, now faces additional federal charges. Police commended the officers' diligent efforts in addressing crime in the community.
