Burien Actors Theatre (BAT) will debut the holiday comedy "The Past, a Present Yet to Come" on November 28, 2025. Written by Matt Schatz, the play reimagines the creation of Charles Dickens' "A Christmas Carol. " It follows a young entrepreneur in Victorian London who attempts to soften his Uncle Ebenezer Scrooge's heart through theater. The protagonist enlists the help of no-nonsense producer J. B.

Roth, who engages a broke and philandering Dickens to bring the play to life. This humorous take on a classic story aims to entertain and provide insight into the motivations behind Dickens' work. The production runs until December 21, 2025, inviting audiences to experience a blend of comedy and holiday spirit. Tickets are expected to be in high demand due to the show's unique premise and festive timing. The BAT continues to enrich the local arts scene with innovative performances.
