ELECTION RESULTS 1 Voters show strong support for incumbents in first returns

Auburn Mayor Nancy Backus and two incumbent City Council members lead their races in the initial results from the Nov. 4 general election. Backus captured 3,567 votes (56. 64%), outpacing challenger Yolanda Trout, who received 2,672 votes (42. 43%).

Incumbent Kate Baldwin leads Council Position 2 with 4,219 votes (70. 34%), while Adib Altallal trails with 1,703 votes (28. 39%). In Council Position 4, Brian Lott holds 3,373 votes (55. 60%) over Erica Tomas's 2,656 votes (43.

78%). For Position No. 6, incumbent Lisa M. Stirgus leads with 3,487 votes (57. 56%), while Cobi Clark has 2,519 votes (41.

58%). The election results highlight strong support for incumbents and demonstrate increased voter engagement in municipal races across South King County. King County Elections will provide daily updates on vote totals, with a full set of results and final certification expected by Nov. 25. The outcomes may influence future policy decisions and community initiatives in Auburn.
