The Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) handled several incidents between October 13 and 19, 2025, highlighting their community responsiveness. A smoke investigation at Green River College on October 13 revealed a small dust fire in the HVAC system, which firefighters resolved without further risk. The following day, a pressure cooker fire at a local restaurant was extinguished by staff before firefighters arrived. Medical emergencies included an adult female treated for shortness of breath and an elderly male cyclist hit by a car, both transported to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center. A welfare check on October 18 involved an unconscious male who was treated for burns after regaining consciousness.

The week ended with a two-vehicle accident on October 19, where both drivers sustained minor injuries. VRFA’s proactive measures in these incidents ensured public safety and swift medical assistance. This week of service underscores the importance of local emergency response in maintaining community welfare.
