During the week of August 11-17, 2025, the Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) engaged in multiple emergency responses in Auburn. Their aid calls included a male suffering from respiratory distress and an elderly man who sustained a concussion after falling on a slip and slide. Firefighters extinguished a minor fire caused by a charging battery-powered quad and managed a 15’x15′ brush fire in a wooded area. On August 16, they encountered two unconscious adult males suspected to be affected by substance use, providing immediate treatment before transport to the hospital. Furthermore, VRFA evaluated a 5-year-old boy who fell from monkey bars, ensuring his safe transport to MultiCare Auburn Medical Center.

They also responded to a two-vehicle collision with one patient complaining of head pain, treated on scene and transported. This series of incidents highlights the VRFA's active role in emergency response and community safety. The authority continues to ensure the well-being of residents through prompt medical assistance and fire management.
