The Cajun and Creole Fest will transform Downtown Kent into “Little Louisiana” on Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, from 2 to 7 p. m. This free festival emphasizes family-friendly activities, including Zydeco and blues music, Southern-inspired food, and art exhibitions. Highlighted performances will feature Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble and returning favorite Bayou Envie, promising an energetic experience for attendees.

The American First Corp Band will lead a festive second-line parade, adding to the celebratory atmosphere. Guests are encouraged to wear New Orleans-inspired costumes and bring chairs or blankets for comfort during the outdoor festivities. Organizers aim to showcase the rich culture and hospitality of the South, creating a unique experience for the Pacific Northwest. Admission is free with registration recommended.
