Cajun and Creole Fest will bring the soul of Louisiana to Downtown Kent on Saturday, Aug. 16

The Cajun and Creole Fest is set for Saturday, Aug. 16, 2025, from 2 to 7 p. m. in Downtown Kent. The festival will feature a variety of live music, Southern-inspired food trucks, and activities for children, all aimed at creating a festive atmosphere reminiscent of Louisiana.

Key performances will include Curley Taylor & Zydeco Trouble and the energetic Bayou Envie. The Kent Downtown Partnership invites guests to wear costumes inspired by New Orleans for added flair. Admission is free, with registration encouraged, allowing organizers to prepare for attendance. Volunteers, artists, and makers are also welcomed to participate in the event. This festival highlights the cultural diversity of the Pacific Northwest while drawing inspiration from the rich traditions of the South.
