VRFA Blotter Brush trash fires, motorcycle accident, choking on steak more

Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) responded to a series of emergencies in Auburn from July 28 to August 3, 2025. Firefighters contained a fast-moving brush fire on July 28, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures. On July 29, they treated a motorcycle rider who sustained multiple injuries after being thrown from his vehicle. The following day, they stabilized a juvenile in cardiac arrest before transporting them to a hospital. VRFA also extinguished a trash fire at Game Farm Park on August 1, which threatened a public restroom outbuilding.

An adult female choking on a piece of steak received immediate aid on August 2, while another female with hip pain from a fall was treated on August 3. These incidents underscore the importance of VRFA's rapid response capabilities in safeguarding public health and safety. Local hospitals provided further care for the patients involved.
