VRFA Blotter Brush fires, dumpster fire, child puts object in nostril more

Auburn, WALocal News

Valley Regional Fire Authority (VRFA) managed several emergency responses in Auburn and Pacific from July 21 to July 27, 2025. A significant brush fire on July 21 prompted swift action as firefighters worked to contain the flames, which reached around 40 by 20 feet. Collaborating with Washington State Patrol, crews created a control line to prevent further spread. On July 22, VRFA extinguished two dumpster fires located close to each other, leading to an investigation by the Auburn Police Department. The agency also provided aid to individuals, including an adult male with a possible fractured arm and a child who had removed a foreign object from his nostril.

Notably, a minor fire on July 25 was linked to reported electrical issues, prompting an investigation by the VRFA Fire Marshal's Office. The varied incidents highlight the ongoing challenges faced by local emergency services in maintaining public safety. VRFA continues to monitor the situations and investigate the causes of the fires.
