Burien Actors Theatre (BAT) will offer free outdoor performances of “The Guardsman” in South King County parks, starting July 25 at Riverton Heights Park in SeaTac at 7 p. m. Rachel Rene’s adaptation sets the story in the early 1980s, where a popular actor disguises himself to test his wife’s fidelity. The performances will run until August 17, 2025, aiming to foster community engagement. Attendees are encouraged to support local eateries by bringing takeout or dining out before or after the show, enhancing the community event experience.

“The Guardsman” explores themes of love, deception, and the fine line between acting and genuine emotion. This event not only entertains but also promotes local businesses. BAT’s initiative highlights the importance of community arts in enhancing local culture. The play's unique setting and engaging storyline are expected to draw significant interest from families and theater lovers alike.
