WSP Troopers arrest motorcyclist after high-speed chase on SR 167 in Auburn

A motorcyclist was arrested early Friday after evading Washington State Patrol (WSP) troopers on SR 167 near Auburn. The pursuit began when troopers observed the motorcycle attempting to elude a traffic stop. A WSP aircraft supported the ground pursuit, tracking the rider during the chase. After abandoning the motorcycle, the suspect fled on foot but was apprehended by troopers. No injuries were reported during the incident, and the motorcycle was subsequently impounded.

Troopers booked the rider on a charge of felony eluding. The WSP has not released the rider’s identity pending booking procedures. This incident highlights ongoing concerns about motorcycle pursuits and public safety.
