Auburn’s Airport Appreciation Day is set for July 12, 2025, at the Auburn Municipal Airport, featuring a full day of activities from 10 a. m. to 4 p. m. The event will host food trucks, vendor tents, static aircraft displays, and offers free airplane rides for pre-registered children aged 8 to 17, with current registration closed due to high demand.

Attendees can also enjoy reduced-price helicopter rides from Classic Helicopters, along with face painting, balloon-shaping, and a photo booth. Local pilots will participate in the EAA Young Eagles Program, which promotes aviation among youth throughout the year. The Auburn Fire and Police Departments, as well as representatives from the Army and Air Force, will display their vehicles and aircraft, enhancing the event's educational aspect. Airport manager Tim Mensonides expressed enthusiasm for the event, noting favorable weather and a large expected turnout. This annual celebration not only entertains but also aims to foster community connections and aviation interest.
