VIDEO Auburn Police arrest suspect in tire slashing incident after standoff

Auburn, WALocal News

Auburn Police arrested a man on July 7, 2025, after he allegedly slashed the tires of a vehicle outside a Harbor Freight store, an incident reported the previous day. Witnesses claimed he waved a knife during the altercation, but officers could not substantiate this allegation. The suspect fled to a nearby boarded-up residence, where he refused to come out for over an hour, leading police to temporarily disengage from the situation. Investigators later confirmed he had violated a no-contact order, escalating the case to felony charges. Multiple active warrants related to domestic violence were also discovered.

Officers executed a plan to safely apprehend him when he exited the home, effecting the arrest without incident. The suspect was subsequently booked into the Regional Justice Center on felony charges. Auburn Police praised the teamwork displayed during the operation.
