Auburn Police are actively investigating a hit-and-run incident that critically injured a woman during an illegal street takeover on July 4, 2025. The collision occurred at Lake Tapps Parkway SE and Lakeland Hills Way SE, where a female pedestrian was struck and left in serious condition. She was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for urgent medical care. Police reported that the vehicle involved in the incident fled the scene immediately after the collision. Witnesses described the event as part of a larger illegal intersection takeover involving a crowd and numerous recordings.

Authorities are calling for anyone with information or video footage to contact them at 253-288-7403. The department aims to identify the driver and prevent such dangerous street activities in the future.
