Auburns All Saints Lutheran Church damaged in overnight fire

Auburn, WALocal News

An overnight fire on June 30, 2025, caused significant damage to All Saints Lutheran Church in Auburn, originating from a trailer adjacent to the building. Firefighters responded to reports of the trailer fire, but the flames quickly spread into the church, resulting in a partial roof collapse within 15 minutes. Crews initially attempted to combat the fire from the inside but withdrew for safety reasons as conditions worsened. The trailer, linked to the church’s water supply, is being investigated as the fire's starting point by the King County Sheriff’s Office and ATF. Local residents emphasized the church's role in the community, expressing hopes for a swift recovery.

The church's president reassured that worship services would continue, underscoring the congregation's focus on its members rather than the physical structure. A small gathering of community members took place later to pray outside the damaged building. This incident highlights the church's significance as a community hub in Auburn.
