Two trucking incidents on Tuesday in Abbotsford and near Chilliwack drew attention due to drivers ignoring their provincial permit routes. The No. 3 Road overpass on Highway 1 was struck, followed by another truck taking down telecom lines on Clearbrook Road. Fortunately, no injuries occurred despite the presence of live wires during the incidents. Ryanson Transport, based in Edmonton, was responsible for the telecom line incident, while Prime Flatbed Ltd.

, also from Alberta, collided with the overpass. The Ministry of Transportation stated that the Commercial Vehicle Safety Enforcement unit is investigating both incidents and will coordinate with enforcement officials in Alberta. Both trucks were carrying identical loads from a local company, raising questions about compliance and safety. Authorities have yet to determine what consequences, if any, the drivers will face.
