Burnaby RCMP is investigating an alleged robbery at Metrotown Mall, a popular shopping destination in the region. A teenager, aged between 16 and 18, attempted to steal an item from a store near the food court around 3:30 p. m. Saturday. When staff intervened, the suspect allegedly used bear spray, causing minor injuries to several individuals before fleeing the scene.

The police successfully recovered the stolen items and are currently reviewing mall security footage to identify the suspect.
