Vancouver police have re-arrested Hayden McCorriston, a convicted sex offender, shortly after he allegedly violated his release conditions. At 30 years old, McCorriston was living in a halfway house following his statutory release. He was convicted in 2022 for sexually assaulting multiple women in Burnaby and Vancouver and is currently serving a three-year, two-month prison sentence. Police observed him leaving the halfway house shortly before 10:30 a. m.

on Friday, prompting concerns regarding his compliance with the conditions of his release. These conditions included a curfew, abstaining from drugs and alcohol, and reporting relationships with women. After failing to return to the halfway house, Correctional Service Canada issued a Canada-wide warrant for his arrest.
