's northern coast will remain unchanged, highlighting the North Coast Transmission Line as a critical project with the potential to create 10,000 jobs while minimizing environmental impacts. Delegates showed strong backing for Eby, with 83% of attendees not calling for a leadership review. They passed a resolution urging the federal government to maintain the tanker ban and accelerate the transmission line's development. Eby noted that any lifting of the ban could undermine the coalition of support from First Nations and northern communities, crucial for resource initiatives. Conservative MLA Trevor Halford criticized Eby's speech for neglecting pressing local issues like public safety and healthcare.

Eby also referenced the rising authoritarianism and threats to Canada's sovereignty as pivotal challenges facing B. C. He concluded that the province is at a pivotal moment, equipped to forge a more secure future.
