Temporary road closures downtown this Sunday for helicopter operation

Vancouver, BCLocal News

Talon Helicopters Ltd. will perform a helicopter operation on Sunday, November 16, from 9:30 am to 11 am, resulting in temporary closures of Howe Street. The operation will require two closures of less than five minutes each, with the Vancouver Police Department managing traffic at the intersection of Howe Street and Drake Street. Although access to residences and businesses will remain, residents may experience intermittent noise and temporary street, sidewalk, and parking impacts. The southbound on-ramp of the Granville Bridge will fully close, and there will be parking restrictions on the 1200 and 1300 blocks of Howe Street.

VPD will direct traffic to ensure safety during the operation. Transit services in the area will operate normally without disruption. Residents are encouraged to follow detours and adhere to “No Parking” and “No Stopping” signs. This operation highlights the city's ongoing efforts to manage infrastructure and public safety effectively.
