Woman hospitalized after driver strikes pedestrian in Surrey

The collision took place shortly after 6 p. m. near the intersection of King George Boulevard and 40 Avenue. The impact led to several minor collisions among other vehicles, but only the pedestrian was reported injured.

The driver of the SUV remained at the scene, and police are still investigating the cause of the incident. Emergency crews responded, surrounding the damaged vehicle, which had a broken windshield and front bumper. Northbound lanes on King George Boulevard were closed for several hours but have since reopened. Authorities are encouraging witnesses or those with relevant video footage to come forward.
