Charges laid in case of Langley woman missing since last year
Trenton Henneberg, a resident of Port Moody, faces charges of second-degree murder and indignity to human remains in the homicide case of missing Langley woman Chantelle Moore. Moore, 30, was last seen in October 2024 and reported missing on November 18, prompting a shift in the investigation to the Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) on December 18 when criminality was suspected. IHIT, in collaboration with the Langley RCMP Serious Crime Unit and Integrated Forensic Identification Services, established a timeline of events leading to her disappearance. Investigators executed searches across multiple locations in British Columbia in an effort to locate Moore’s remains. Authorities believe that Henneberg and Moore were acquaintances, indicating that the incident was not random.
This case has deeply affected Moore's family, prompting police to offer ongoing support during the prosecution process. "This is the kind of investigation that keeps us up at night," said Sgt. Freda Fong, underscoring the emotional toll on the family. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact IHIT.
