68-year-old Abbotsford fatal shooting victim identified

Darshan Sahsi, a 68-year-old businessman, was fatally shot in Abbotsford on Monday morning, prompting an investigation by local homicide detectives. The incident occurred around 9:20 a. m. on Ridgeview Drive, where first responders discovered Sahsi in a vehicle with gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, he succumbed to his injuries.

The Integrated Homicide Investigation Team (IHIT) reported that early indications suggest the shooting was targeted, and no other individuals were harmed. Police are searching for a suspect vehicle and have requested dashcam footage from anyone in the vicinity between 7:00 a. m. and 10:00 a. m.

In a separate matter, the Abbotsford Police Department attended another shooting nearby that left a 41-year-old man injured, which authorities confirmed is not related to Sahsi's case.
