Vancouver restaurant suddenly closed after just one month with new concept

Vancouver, BCLocal News

Mojo Cantina-Izakaya, located at 2650 Main St in Vancouver, suddenly closed just one month after its debut. Patrons reported arriving for reservations at a locked venue, prompting Google to mark it as "Permanently Closed. " Despite the lack of an official closure notice on its website or social media, the restaurant's Facebook page remains operational with no available reservations. Boxset Collective, the restaurant's operators, previously managed several concepts in the same location, including El Gato Gab Gab and a hybrid cafe. The rapid turnover of concepts reflects the group's desire for innovation and adaptability in the local dining scene.

The closure raises concerns about the future of Taco Loma, which shares the premises and has not updated its social media since August. The space has also been listed for sale, suggesting a possible transition to a new tenant. V. I. A.

has reached out to Boxset for further clarification but has yet to receive a response.
