2 Vancouver men charged after Lower Mainland drug trafficking investigation
Two Vancouver men have been charged following a significant drug trafficking investigation by B. C. ’s Combined Forces Special Enforcement Unit. The investigation, initiated in February 2024, targeted a suspect believed to be distributing large quantities of fentanyl and other illicit drugs. Searches in October 2024 resulted in the seizure of over 3 kilograms of fentanyl, 10 ounces of methamphetamine, 6 ounces of cocaine, and $3,000 in cash.
Ashnil Bobby Singh, 31, faces six charges, including trafficking fentanyl and MDMA, while Lenny Mauricio Umanzor, also 31, is charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking. Both men were sought by police, with Singh arrested on October 9 and released on conditions, and Umanzor surrendering on October 15.
